San Antonio is one of the most beautiful cities to visit in Texas and I am not just saying that because that’s my home town. Well maybe I am but you should definitely take a look for yourself and see. There is so much to do for all ages It is filled with so much culture and has many attractions. It is growing but it keeps it history as the foundation of the city.

1.River Walk

This is one of San Antonio’s greatest tourist attractions. This a great place to sightsee parts of Downtown and The Missions of San Antonio. You may be able to get a free tour or one at a low cost by riding in a river barge and receiving a guided tour on the 15-mile river. The tour would provide you information about the creation of the river and the history of the nearby places. There are many places surrounding the River Walk that you are able to eat at and enjoy the view of the River Walk, day and night. You can travel by foot and check out the nearby shops and relax and dine in or outdoor.

2. The Pearl

Here you will find a lot of San Antonio’s culture and culinary delicacies. The Pearl is 22-acre and has several shops, boutiques and plenty of dining experiences. This is also where The Culinary Institute of America is located. This place is one of America’s top culinary institute.

3. Six Flags Fiesta Texas

Six Flags Fiesta Texas is a large theme park with over 30 rides, 10 being roller coasters, opened year-round. This theme park attracts over one million visitors a year. The park currently has 6 different themes and a water park, Water White Bay. In addition to the water park, the park has many events, several shopping centers and dining available. The food option are better than what most parks offer. To avoid lines, purchase the Flash Pass, it allows you to skip long lines and gives you more time to have fun.  They have wild rides for the ones seeking the trill but also have kid rides. The park is consistently growing. They also have live shows and season featured events like Fright Fest and Holiday in the Park. You don’t want to miss this amazing experience, so grab your camera and some friends and head to the park they are opened most of the year.

4. The Shops at La Cantera

This is one of the few 2-story out door shopping centers in San Antonio. In 2006 the mall received an award as the Grand Award Winner in the 17th Annual Superior Achievement in Design & Imaging Awards competition. It offers over 150 shops and services, so it’s easy to say that they have something for everyone. The landscape of the mall is breath taking, which makes going in and out of stores enjoyable.

5. Saint Mary’s Strip

This is the best area for millennials to come to in San Antonio to have a fun night out. The strip is a collection of bars, coffee shops, and clubs that runs from Mistletoe Avenue West Grayson Street on North St. Mary’s Street. The Strip is geared more towards the locals, but tourists would see that the night life is very entertaining. The Strip is similar to Austin’s Sixth Street.

6. Tower of the Americas

You will take an elevator to the observation deck in the tower that stands 750 feet high towering over all of downtown San Antonio. It was the tallest tower in the United States until 1996 when the Las Vegas Stratosphere Tower was made. In the tower you are able to have sit down and eat or walk around and learn history about different parts of the world. As you enjoy the scenery the tower is continuously revolving slowly allowing you a full 360 view in less than an hour.
