6. Peanut Butter Cups:
I really like peanut butter and chocolate. I just couldn’t resist putting another recipe with the dynamic duo on this list. Peanut butter cups will also always be my favorite candy. Whether they’re Reese’s, From a specialty candy shop, or homemade, I am always willing to devour this candy. They can be simple to make as well. All you really need to do is coat the bottom of a liner with chocolate, put a bit of peanut butter or a peanut butter mixture on top, then lastly coat the top with another delicious layer of chocolate. In no time, you will have amazing peanut butter cups that are sure to be delectable.
7. Gummy Bears:
No matter what age you are you can still love gummy bears. They are the perfect fun and chewy snack that sometimes we just need in our lives. Making gummy bears at home is actually much more simple than most think it is. All you really need is flavored gelatin (whatever flavor you are craving at the moment), unflavored gelatin, cold water and of course don’t forget the bear molds! The bears will need to set up in the fridge for at least 20 minutes, then they would be ready to pop out and eat. Although, they’ll be really cute so maybe take a picture first before they’re all gone!
8. “Tootsie Roll” Candies:
For a nostalgic candy, at least for me, go for this “tootsie roll” copy cat recipe. To make these candies just mix softened butter, unsweetened cocoa powder, confectioners sugar, vanilla extract, dry milk powder, and white corn syrup in a bowl. Then knead it together with your hands and cut it into your desired shapes and lengths. I hope this recipe brings you back to all the fun memories of childhood, like trick or treating and getting a little prize when you would answer a question right in Elementary school. Those are the things I think of when it comes to this candy and sometimes we all need that little reminder of fun innocence.
